Chronic Fatigue...

Updated: Oct 6, 2019

Chronic Fatigue - Infection, Stealth Pathogens, Toxicity or something else?

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a debilitating condition whereby severe, and all pervasive fatigue affects a person'as ability to live a normal life. Characterised by deep exhaustion that does not improve with rest, as a result of damaged energy production mechanisms. This type of fatigue is characterised by sleep problems, pain, low stamina, exhaustion, digestive problems, stress intolerance and is aggravated by activity - normal everyday activity, like showering, cooking, working and walking, as well as exercise, making everyday life a monumental challenge.

Medically, the cause of this condition has been largely unknown for many years. More recently, it is being linked to factors such as hormones, environmental factors, immune and mitochondrial dysfunction.

At the heart of the problem is are disrupted energy production pathways. How the body metabolises and converts fuel to a usable form of energy is hijacked for any number of reasons, but beyond energy, this is a multi-system, multi-factor disease.

By the time Chronic Fatigue becomes diagnosable, 'normal life' has become destroyed, the loss of which can be deeply traumatic for the suffer. And getting help is not as easy as pitching up the GP and going home with a pharmaceutical script and psychology referral.

Chronic Fatigue, and chronic illness, is always multifactoria. Some of the things to be considered may include:

  • Infections - glandular fever, influenza, bronchitis, strep throat, pneumonia, whooping cough, slap cheek, hand-foot-mouth, coldsores, chickenpox.

  • Gastro, nausea, vomiting in the past - salmonella, fish toxin, poisoning, gastric viruses.Vaccinations - flu, giardasil, MMR, TB, tetnus, polio, pertussis, Hib, etc.

  • Stealth Pathogens such as EBV, CMV, HSV, staph, strep, herpes, parvo, etc

  • Toxicity - pesticides, pollution, water chemicals

  • Inflammation - Chronic, low grade inflammation that cannot resolve itself

  • Tummy Trouble - food allergies, sensitivities, low digestive function, parasites, digestive problems

  • Hormone imbalances, thyroid issues

  • Microbiome disruption, ecoli, parasites, dysbiosis, SIBO

  • Detoxification Blocks - Overwhelmed or faulty detoxification pathways

  • Epigenetics - faulty or disrupted gene expression.

  • Trauma, emotional upset, childhood issues

  • Mitochondrial dysfunction, toxicity, Krebs cycle blocks

  • Nutrient deficiencies

  • Heavy metal bioaccumulation - mercury, aluminium, lead, cadmium etc

  • Environmental Factors - Plastics, Pesticides, Poisoning, Mould, Pollution

  • Stress, emotional trauma, grief, major life event/s.

  • Illness/es they have 'never felt well since'

  • Electrosmog exposure & bioaccumulation

  • Insect Bites - vector-borne infections from mosquitos, ticks, spider bites

  • Oxidative Stress, poor antioxidant production, genetic and nutritional concerns in this arena.

We know that Chronic fatigue is multifactorial condition, but it also quite different for each person, it is not a 'one size fits all' disorder, and treatment needs to be tailored to the individual for this reason. Often a person will have an experience of building up of bio-accumulatory factors, it is rarely one thing at play, and often involves a compounding effect of the above factors.

Once we map the course of development, we use a straightforward step by step process of treatment in the clinic, tailoring a nutritional, herbal, and Biocom Therapy program to the individual. These wholistic methods allow us to help regress and remove the confounding and sustaining factors, so a person can slowly return to improved energy.

Identifying the obstacles burdening the system is the most important first step. Nourishing the processes and pathways of the body helps to open up the clearing of the backlog of biological and chemical wastes that get caught within the system due to the blockages to normal function.

I have been using Holistic Therapies for twenty years, and I hold great reverence for the body and what it is capable of. Naturopathy and Bicom Bioresonance Therapy together with subtle energy testing methods, help me work with the client's body to provide a systematic, comprehensive, and holistic treatment that moves a person back to their natural state of functional health.

Each case that I have treated is unique. Tuning in to the body helps me navigate the best way to support a person's body back to functional integrity. Key information sought as part of this process includes a review of all the points above, with key focus points being -

  • Insect bites

  • Infections - past and present

  • Vaccinations

  • Gastroenteritis episodes

  • Dietary factors

  • Medical history and medications

  • Personal story and stressors

  • Lifestyle habits present and past

  • Blood test screenings and test results

  • Genetics and epigenetic factors

  • Medical tests and pathology results

  • Other treatments tried

Once we understand the timeline of factors that have brought us to now, we move to tuning in and listening to what the body has to say. Using subtle energy methods we want to read the body's response to test items such as foods, pathogens and toxins.

Treatment at Healthier By Choice centers on the use of TGA registered, German Medical Device called The Bicom, which brings us the wonderful Bioresonance Therapy that we use as a core tool, together with Naturopathic principles and protocols, to systematically remove the obstacles to the body's own intelligent healing process.

I have come to learn that the body is always communicating. When we take the time to tune in to this information, we can more efficiently discover the path to healing for the individual. I have great reverence for the body, and I often see miracles with this work, but it does take time.

Ultimately,we must remember that the body's primary goal is to be well. When fully capable of healing itself, this process is natural. Treatment begins with an initial consultation, which can be booked online here.
